Virtualization (Proxmox & OpenStack)

Researching and Managing Cloud Hosting Solutions

During my time at Hostinger, a key part of my role involved research into next-generation hosting solutions. This gave me foundational exposure to major virtualization and private cloud platforms.

• Proxmox VE: I worked with Proxmox VE as a complete open-source platform for enterprise virtualization.
• OpenStack: I researched and explored OpenStack as a powerful, scalable solution for building a private cloud (IaaS).

This experience provided me with a strong conceptual understanding of how cloud platforms are built from the ground up, from the hypervisor to the management layer. While not my day-to-day focus now, this knowledge informs my understanding of modern public cloud and containerization technologies.

Key Competencies

• Virtualization Concepts: Understanding of hypervisors (KVM), virtual machines, and software-defined networking/storage.
• Platform Exposure: Familiarity with the architecture and core components of Proxmox VE and OpenStack.
• System Administration: Managing virtualized resources in a hosting environment.
