Abstract:  Provided managed hosting and system administration for the official website of KPPN Bekasi, a government office under the Indonesian Ministry of Finance.

Tech: #Linux#Ubuntu Server LTS#Nginx#WordPress#MariaDB#System Administration

The Challenge

The KPPN Bekasi, a government office under the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, required a reliable, secure, and professionally managed hosting solution for their official public-facing website. The project's success depended not just on deploying the website, but on ensuring the underlying infrastructure was stable, secure, and well-maintained.

The Solution

For four years (2014-2018), I acted as the dedicated System Administrator and managed hosting provider for this government client. My responsibilities went beyond simple web development and focused on the operational integrity of the entire server stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Server Configuration: I configured and maintained a cluster of servers running Ubuntu Server LTS, with a finely-tuned Nginx, PHP, and MariaDB stack to host the client's WordPress website.
  • System Administration: I was solely responsible for the ongoing administration of the server environment, including performing system updates, managing resources, and ensuring high availability.
  • Security & Protection: A key part of my role was to protect the government website from threats. This involved implementing security best practices, hardening the Linux server, and actively monitoring the system for any potential issues.

This long-term project demonstrated my capability in providing reliable and secure managed infrastructure for a government client, highlighting my skills in system administration and operational management.
